• Support Our Farmers

    15 November 2019

Brad, Bronnie & Anita were privileged to spend some time recently out past Chinchilla, volunteering with Drought Angels. We visited farmers, packed & delivered hampers and experienced the harsh realities of life on the land. To be honest, some of it was hard to swallow. It was confronting, it was brutal but most of all it was grounding. To us, drought now has a name, drought now has a face, and it is heartbreakingly clear that drought is happening RIGHT NOW. Upon our return, many of you have asked us how you can help too. So, here's a few ways you can assist:

DONATE FUNDS 💵 Drought Angels encourages money to be spent in the affect towns whilst assisting the people that live in them. They typically arrange pre-paid Visa cards for farmers so they can purchase what they need within the community they live. It's all about supporting local. You can donate to our GoFundMe page HERE

BECOME A SPONSOR 🙌🏼 Sponsor our SOLD OUT drought relief event, Carpet One & Luxaflex Toowoomba Feast for a Farmer | Fitzy's on December 5. Funds raised through raffles, auctions, tickets sales and incredibly generous sponsor donations will be donated via Drought Angels to assist our friends on the land. What to get on board?      BUY AUSTRALIAN 🇦🇺 It's a simple change you can make to help our farmers. If given the choice, buy Australian Made products. It only takes a few seconds to read a label and find out where it's from. Please take the time to make a choice that will directly aid people in need. Our farmers will thank you for it.

BUY FROM THE BUSH 👨🏼‍🌾 How about changing up your gifting habits and buying your Christmas presents from a drought affected community? Every little bit helps to get our farmers and their towns back on their feet #buyfromthebush

DONATE YOUR TIME  Why not take a trip and help out? If you are able, it's extremely rewarding to assist Drought Angels by visiting them in person. From packing hampers to visiting farmers, we couldn't recommend this experience more. You won't regret it!

SPREAD THE WORD 📣 Awareness is so important. Our farmers need our support right now. The more people who are educated about the realities of drought and what they can do to help, the better change our farmers have of getting through this.
