We are thrilled to announce the final fundraising tally from yesterday's drought relief luncheon, Carpet One & Luxaflex Toowoomba Fitzy's Feast for a Farmer. With the help of our generous sponsors, guests and the Toowoomba community, together we raised over $114,000 for drought-stricken farmers 😱😱
Yesterday’s sold-out event was a huge success, exceeding fundraising targets by a staggering $64,500. We couldn't be happier with the result in aid of our very good friends at Drought Angels.
One of the event highlights was an intimate panel of farmers led special guest, Simon Reeve from the Seven - Network's Weekend Sunrise. This was followed by an emotionally charged live auction which raised over $57,000 alone. It was this outpouring of support that left Drought Angels Director, CEO and Founder, Tash Johnston in tears.
We've never seen so much generosity in one room. It was just incredible. This life changing amount of money which will mean so much to so many people on the land. Toowoomba is a truly generous community. We were blessed to have so many wonderful sponsors on board in support of Drought Angels. We couldn’t be happier with the result.
THANK YOU, each and every one of you for helping us, help them 🙌🏼
